So your baby is 15 months old. You survived the newborn fog and sleep regressions and now you have this tiny opinionated person who is convinced they can do everything themselves. Most 15-month-olds are walking but it looks more like a staggered lurch with arms out wide. Some kids are running by now, others are still perfecting not falling into the coffee table. If not walking independently yet, most doctors watch until 18 months before flagging it. At 15 months most babies have 1 to 5 real words. The number matters less than whether they are communicating somehow through pointing, shaking head, or reaching up to be held. Their fingers are getting more coordinated: picking up small food pieces with pincer grip, trying a spoon, stacking 2 to 3 blocks, pointing at pictures in books. Separation anxiety can hit hard again even if it eased before. They imitate everything you do. When a 15-month-old gets frustrated they do not have words or emotional tools yet so meltdowns are coming. See them as developmental stages not personality flaws. Milk intake should be tapering to around 300 to 400ml per day if on cow milk. Talk to your pediatrician if your 15-month-old is not using any words or gestures, does not respond to their name, or has lost skills they previously had.
